3. Is Gaviscon suitable for use during pregnancy?

Many products in the Gaviscon range are effective and suitable to use during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding. These include Gaviscon Original and Gaviscon Double Action in both liquid and tablet format .

4. Is Gaviscon suitable for children?

Gaviscon Original and Gaviscon Double Action  is suitable for children over the age of 12. For children under 12 years old, not to be given unless recommended by your doctor.

5. What is Gastro-esophageal reflux?

Movement of stomach acid back up into the esophagus.

6. What is Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD)?

It is a condition caused by gastro-esophageal reflux. Symptoms include those of heartburn and regurgitation. It is often associated with weakening of the muscle which controls entry of food into the stomach.
